Script Editing
Make the story stronger without losing its voice.
Sometimes the story is already there. It just needs another perspective.
I work with existing scripts to identify structural issues, strengthen characters, improve pacing, sharpen dialogue, and make the screenplay more cinematic while retaining the writer's original voice and intent.
The goal isn't to rewrite for the sake of rewriting. It is to understand what the script is trying to achieve and help it get there more effectively.

Film Direction
From the page to the screen.
As a director, I approach every film by bringing together story, performance, visual language, sound, and rhythm to create a coherent cinematic experience.
My approach is rooted in collaboration. I work closely with actors and crew to discover what each scene needs while developing a visual language that serves the story rather than overpowering it.
From the initial interpretation of the screenplay to working with actors, camera, production design, and edit, I remain involved in shaping the film as a complete piece of cinema.

Filmmaker · Theatre director
Prakhar Gautam is an Indian filmmaker, writer and theatre director with over a decade of experience in storytelling across film and theatre. A Distinction holder in MA Filmmaking from Central Film School, London, his work explores human behaviour, social contradictions and the complexities of everyday life.
